Violet Makokha is a clinician by Profession with 14 years’ working experience in public health, HIV Care programming with a passionate interest in implementation science majorly quality Improvement. Violet has worked as a Quality improvement advisor locally and internationally to support set up of quality management systems for HIV programming. She has established over 200 CQI teams in the rural and urban health care facilities in Kenya and supported over 500 health care workers from management to service delivery in capacity building, mentorship and initiating quality improvement projects to address gaps in HIV care continuum. Violet holds a diploma in clinical Medicine and surgery, degree in public health and a master’s degree in public health specialized in epidemiology and disease control. She also has a certificate in implementation science, Leadership, and management, monitoring and evaluation, mental health, advanced clinical management of HIV from University of Washington, and a certificate in Case Based Surveillance (CBS) from university of Nairobi. Violet is also a TOT in the national guidelines and currently working with University of Maryland as a Quality Improvement Advisor supporting HIV Prevention, care and treatment Key population and MAT programs in Kisumu, Migori, Nairobi, Kitui, Machakos, and Makueni counties.
