The Ugandan Academy for Health Innovation and Impact (The Academy) was formed to improve health outcomes for people living with or being affected by HIV and TB.There are 1.5 million people living with HIV in Uganda and over 40,000 are being treated for TB every year. There is a huge need for innovative ideas on how to help people get access to medical treatment and manage their condition enabling them to live full and active lives. The Academy is confident that grassroots solutions are available to achieve lasting impact on the lives of patients in Uganda, especially those who are most vulnerable.
The Academy invites innovative Ideas from Ugandans that address problems and improve the lives of people living with or being affected by HIV and TB.
The winner will receive a cash prize of up to 3,000,000 Ug Shs (Three million Shillings only) and the two runners up will receive a cash prize of up to 1,500,000 Ug Shs each (One million Five Hundred Thousand Shillings only).
